Creative Writing Workshop:
The First Building Block - May 3, 2025 | 9am - 12pm
Service Description
This three-hour generative writing workshop is designed to break down the belief that you’re “not a creative writer.” Through guided exercises, we’ll tackle the hardest part of writing: getting started. Learn to navigate the chaos of a blank page and debunk the pressure that sometimes comes with the creative process. Writing is more than self-expression; it’s an exploration beyond the self. Through curated creative practices, we’ll uncover the words already waiting within us, rather than forcing them into existence. Inspired by erasure techniques like Tom Phillips’ A Humument, we’ll learn to give form and order to creative chaos. Comparison is the thief of joy, and ego often stands in the way of true creativity. This workshop invites you to step outside of expectation, let go of intention, and allow the writing to emerge as it’s meant to—revealing insights, clarity, and healing along the way. Join us for a session of discovery, where writing becomes a window through which light shines, not something we must generate but something we allow to flow through us.
