Caleb Hitt

Graduate Student

Caleb has long had a passion for serving children and their families. He has pursued this through volunteering in youth and children’s ministries as well as working in the school setting in various roles. It is through these experiences that he became aware of the many challenges that children and families face. As he is actively pursuing his graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Missouri Baptist University, he hopes to bring this passion into the counseling setting.

Caleb is interested in serving children, adults, families, and couples presenting various challenges and difficulties. He is especially interested in counseling clients who are navigating divorce, behavioral concerns, spiritual issues, church hurt, depression, anxiety, and abuse. To navigate these complex situations, Caleb uses various interventions, focusing on acceptance and commitment therapy, play therapy, and family system modalities. He seeks to walk alongside clients to create an atmosphere of empathy and understanding so that they can take action and find hope.

Empathy creates a sense of safety, safety is the foundation of trust, and a trusting relationship paves a pathway to hope. From that point, our job is to walk along the path, one step at a time.
