Counseling is your space to breathe, feel, and reconnect with the parts of you that may have faded over time. Many people come to counseling carrying the feeling that something is “wrong” with them, when what’s often true instead, is that life has been heavy, confusing, or painful enough to cloud their sense of self. My goal is to offer a steady, compassionate space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and reconnect with the inner wisdom and strength that you’ve always
carried, but has been difficult to access in this season.
My work is rooted in a Person-Centered approach, and I’m grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life and circumstances. I am also drawn to mindfulness and somatic practices, existential perspectives, attachment-focused work, and Motivational Interviewing to support you in clarifying what matters most and identifying the changes you want to make, at a pace that feels sustainable to you.
Areas we may focus on together can include life transitions, identity shifts, relationship concerns and deepening relationships, career-related changes, anxiety and stress, and understanding the patterns that shape how we cope, connect, and move through our days. In a world that rewards constant ‘doing’, therapy can be a place where ‘being’ is enough, and where you can simply be met as you are. This space is for helping you reconnect with yourself beneath the roles and responsibilities you carry.
Before entering the counseling profession, I spent a decade in the marketing and design world, creating work that was deeply strategic and focused on helping people create change. Over time, I felt called to support people in changes that go deeper than the professional world, and to move into spaces that support healing, meaning-making, andthe courage it takes to begin again. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Mental Health
Counseling at Truman State University, with plans to graduate at the end of 2026.
A poem that reflects the spirit of how I hope to show up with my clients is:
A Medicine Woman’s Prayer
I will not rescue you
for you are not powerless.
I will not fix you
for you are not broken
I will not heal you
for I see you in your wholeness.
I will walk with you
through your darkness
as you remember
your light.
