Samantha Hawken
Counselor
Samantha works with children, teens, parents, couples, and individuals who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many clients seek support after prolonged struggles at home, feeling uncertain about how to reconnect with loved ones or longing for greater peace and joy in their relationships.
Â
With specialized training in Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP), Samantha focuses on supporting overwhelmed parents, families experiencing conflict, and children and teens facing behavioral or emotional challenges. Family work centers on strengthening attachment, improving communication, and helping each person feel seen, understood, and emotionally safe within their relationships.
Â
She also works with individuals who feel unable to relax, disconnected from themselves or others, or drawn to a more holistic approach to healing. Treatment integrates traditional talk therapy with somatic practices such as breathwork and sound healing, supporting both emotional well-being and nervous system regulation. This approach honors the body’s innate capacity to release stored stress and trauma, fostering greater calm, confidence, and connection.
Drawing from experience in substance abuse treatment, Samantha supports individuals in recovery as well as families impacted by addiction. Care is provided with a deep understanding of how substance use affects both individuals and relational systems, with attention given to healing, rebuilding trust, and repairing connections.
Â
Samantha offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can increase self-awareness, process past experiences, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. When relationships feel safer and more connected, daily life often becomes lighter, more meaningful, and more hopeful.
