Sierra Young
Clinical Counseling Associate
Sierra believes every human has the ability to heal. She considers it one of her greatest privileges to walk alongside those who are seeking help. She understands counseling is a vulnerable and sometimes scary decision, and desires to walk alongside you every step of the way. Sierra will meet you where you are and together you will work collaboratively toward healing. Her hope is to always enter the therapy process with curiosity, empathy, patience, and kindness, as well as with the knowledge that safety is a vital part of the counseling experience. Â
Â
Sierra believes therapy is not a "one size fits all" approach, so she incorporates a variety of methods to care for her clients. To better understand her client's story, she uses attachment and family systems theories. Sierra works with adolescents and individual adults dealing with issues of spiritual abuse, adoption attachment, anxiety, depression, trauma, family of origin, ADHD/ADD, and more.
Â
Sierra graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2022 with her master’s degree in counseling. When she is not in the office she enjoys being the world’s coolest aunt, finding Taylor Swift easter eggs, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and experimenting with new cookie recipes.
